Further information:
Schmidt beer was originally brewed by the Jacob Schmidt
Brewing Co. from 1890 to 1955. It was sold to the
Pfeiffer Brewing Co. who operated until 1972 when the
brewery was purchased by G. Heileman. Schmidt's
(with an s) beer was brewed by a brother Christian
Schmidt in Philadelphia.

Heileman acquired National Bohemian, brewed in
Baltimore, MD.
