Rulebook

General:

1. The online collection comprises of beer and cider related coasters exclusively.
2. There are two main categories of coasters in the database:
   • Beer and breweries/cider coasters
     • Issued by breweries, cider producers or where beers are depicted
     • Should be added to the respective brewery under the respective country
     • In case the beer is contract brewed, it should be placed under the contractor entry.
       Example: Leireken is brewed by Brouwerij Strubbe for Guldenboot NV. All Leireken coasters should be under Guldenboot. If the contractor is unknown it is acceptable that the coaster could be put under the manufacturing brewery.
   • Beer-related coasters
     • Coasters not issued by a brewery but related with beer. Examples include Professional Organizations, Fairs and Festivals, Consumer Organizations, Museums, Beer Bars and Restaurants, Breweriana Collectors Clubs, etc. Every coaster which depicts beer or related symbols like hops or barley should be consider valid for database.
     • There will be a "Beer-related coasters" entry for each relevant country. All coasters that belong to this category should be placed in here.
     • For countries with many beer-related coasters (f.e. Germany) the coasters should be have their own organization. They should be assigned to entries without a city so the entries will be listed under "unknown".
3. One-sided coasters should have only a front picture omitting the blank back side.
4. Two-sided coasters should have two different images, one for each side.
5. If there's a not noticeable difference (size, thickness, etc) from two coasters these differences should be placed in the incumbent comments field.

Not suitable/duplicate coasters:

1. All registered collectors are welcome to add coasters to the site. The availability of the uploaded pictures would be immediate.
2. All coasters that do not belong to the mentioned categories will be deleted from the database.
3. All registered collectors can schedule a coaster for deletion or for moving it to another brewery. Both tasks will need further evaluation and will be performed by a moderator.
4. The moderator job will be done by experienced collectors. If you want to become a moderator, please write me an e-mail.

Serieses:

• The insertion of coasters in series has a priority:
  1. Coasters who have the same theme or wording
  2. Coasters whose country is different than the brewery
  3. Coasters who share the same front
  4. Dated coasters (Datum Deckel)
  5. Coasters who share the same shape and sides
