This website is a pure private project with intention to bring together as much as possible dates and coasters of breweries all over the world.
Besides the collectors should have the possibility to find new partners to exchange and also to give other collectors a survey of their own collection.
How the coaster-database is build up?
The heart of "bierdeckelsammler.net" is the beercoaster-database which you can demand on "Beermats" in the navigationlist. You will see a list of different countries where the breweries with coasters are stored – between brackets the number of coasters is mentioned.
By clicking on a country you have a list of all the breweries. These are alphabetical arranged according to their stands. Even the municipalities/cities and regions are in the lists. You will find the former "Brauerei Gösswein" in 91722 Arberg-Mörsach under "A" as "Arberg" but also under "M" as "Mörsach". This would facilitate the finding of a brewery while mostly on the coasters the region is mentioned.
After a click on the name of the brewery you will have all the brewerydates eventually pictures of the brewery and all the coasters of this brewery.
Every brewery and every coaster have a clearly number (ID) so you can sea the difference.
On every page you will find a reference; with a simple mouse-click you can go back.
How do I search for breweries?
To find breweries in the coaster-database you can call up the searchformular either on the path "Beermats -> search for a brewery" or you can mention it directly in the case "search brewery" on the right side.
After one click on "search" you find on a list the breweries.
The search-item must have at least 3 letters. Don’t mention too many search-items in one time because the result could be too different.
You can also find coasters which are added the last days. For this search there is a searchbox on the right side. Just mention a number and click on "search". If you don’t mention a number you will have all the coasters which were put in the last day.
How the presentation of the coasters is build up?
On the bewerysites all the coasters of that brewery are mentioned. When there is only one picture it means that this coaster is printed only on one side. Otherwise, even if they are printed on both sides the same you will find both sides.
The numbering is only for orientation. On the graphics you also find the IDs by which every coaster can be identified easily.
Why a registration is necessary?
It’s a pity but as in real life also on Internet there are people who only wants to damage things. While not every surfer could leave something behind "for fun" on bierdeckelsammler.net the "registration" is enlisted. So only registered persons can change or remove items from the database.
What changes after registration?
As a registered collector you have the possibility to remove items or improve the beercoaster-database on "bierdeckelsammler.net". Besides at the same time you have admission to the online-collections of other registered persons.
By registration do you have to pay something?
Certainly not as a registered collector on bierdeckelsammler.net there is nothing to pay. As mentioned before it’s only to protect the beercoaster-database for vandalism.

Your personal dates were only stored for using the website "bierdeckelsammler.net". Addresses are only made public by permission. Your E-mail address is not free, only by a contactformular. So your E-mail address can not be used for spam.

When everything is ok the system will send a mail to the address you mentioned. This mail contains a link you have to call up. After that the registration is complete and you can start. It might be possible you have to load the website again.
How do I enter myself as a collector?
To log in you just have to give in on www.bierdeckelsammler.net on the right side in the case "Login" your user-name and password. After you click on "login".
If you mentioned before "remember password" you don’t have to log in the next time you want to visit bierdeckelsammler.net. This only works if your browser activated the cookies. The manual of your browser will tell you. If there are some problems please tell me.
How do I change my personal dates?
After you entered on bierdeckelsammler.net as a collector you will see in the surflist above an additional point "Administration". If you indicate this point you arrive at the site "Edit collector".
Here you can change your personal dates. You confirm the change by clicking on "send".
The system will inform you if you fill in something wrong.
To add a new brewery to the coaster-database you follow the path "Beermats -> Add a brewery". Before you add just look by the searchfunction if the brewery already isn’t mentioned on the database.
At this moment you can add the brewerydates and after that click on "send". Now a short description of important input fields.
Why does the input field "brewplace (quarter/district)" exist?
For this field there is an input foreseen when a brewery exists in some region of the city.
For example: You can find the brewery Gösswein on nr 91722 Arberg-Mörsach. Mörsach is a part of the city Arberg, so you can find under "location" "Arberg-Mörsach" and in the field "brewplace (quarter/district)" supplementary "Mörsach".
The result is that this brewery isn’t only mentioned in "A" as "Arberg" but also in "M" as "Mörsach". By this way it's more easy to find a brewery.
Why does the input field "keywords" exist?
This field is very important for the searching work of the beercoasters-database. All the notions are connected as keyword to the brewery at this moment. Keywords can be for example beermarks, owners name but also another matter of writing of the breweryname or -place.
Example: The brewery Adler Zuzenhausen brews a beer called "Dachsenfranz Bier". If you search for "Dachsenfranz" it will give you the exact result.
To add a new coaster you first call over the brewery which you want to add the coaster. If the brewery is still not available you first have to add the brewery (just look above "how to add a brewery").
Now trough the link "add a beermat" you can open the site to add a coaster.
As an alternative you can click on the button in "Administration" on the list of the breweries. So you also reach the site "add a beermat".
Now you can appoint the form as well as the diagrams for the front and the backside. For that you click on the "Browse…"-button and choose the diagramdate on your computer.
Consider that every coasterpicture can be at the most 100 Kb. The dimensions must be at least 200x200 pixel. Your ideal diagram is 500x500 pixel. As the dateform you can only use JPG/JPEG.
Subsequently you can - if you know it - mention the year of publication of the coaster as well as some remarks (size, particularities).
Trough the fields "sort indicator" and "sort key" you can force the representation of the coasters in a determined sequence. You can invent for every series an individual name and mention this name to all the concerned beercoasters. Trough the "sort key" the representation sequence in the series are decided (f.e. 1, 2, 3,…). This solution maybe too pedantically. For improvement suggestions I've always an open ear and/or E-Mail p.o. Box.
How do I adapt the dates of a brewery?
The adapting of the brewerydates happens trough the link "edit brewery data".
on the respective Brewery lower surface. At this page you can change the brewerydates and terminate with one click on "send". As an alternative you can click on the button in "administration" on the list of the breweries. So you also reach the site "edit brewery data".
Additionally you can add till 3 pictures of the brewery. Consider that every coasterpicture can be at the most 100 Kb. The dimensions must be at least 200x200 pixel. Your ideal diagram is 500x500 pixel. The preview pictures are automatically generated by the system.
How do I adapt the dates of a beermat?
On the respectively brewery-site there is a list of all the stored beercoasters. To work on the coasterdates or to change the pictures of some coasters, please click on the link "edit beermat" under the desired beercoaster.
Now you can bring on the changes and to end just click on "send".
How do I change the allocation of a beermat to a brewery?
You determined that a beercoaster is allocated to the wrong brewery. No problem, also this mistake you can easely correct.
Just change to the right brewery where you want to put on the coaster. On the site of this brewery you click on "put brewery to clipboard". This brewery appears in the right box "clipboard". Alternativ you also can click on the diskette symbol next to the appropriate brewery of the brewerylist to copy the intermediate file.
Than you go to the brewery to which the coaster isn’t mentioned right. Now you can click on the link "assign to other brewery" and the right coaster to assign it in the intermediate file stored brewery. There will be a safety inquiry, if you really want to change the allocation. After their confirmation the beercoaster is assigned to another brewery.
How do I delete a coaster or a brewery?
To delete a brewery or a beercoaster is not possible for a registered collector. Thus is to be avoided that dates could be inadvertently deleted or someone accomplishes a large "eradication" in the beercoaster-dates.
If you remark that in the data base there is a double beercoaster or you want to delete a brewery, because for example there are no coasters on it, just let me know. I’ll do the deleting. Always give me the ID.
By using a series you can group beercoasters within a brewery. The aim of this function is to improve the usability of the beercoasters listings.
To add a series to a brewery, just click on "Add a series". Now you can give the series a short description. With the field "sort key" you can control the sequence of the series listing within a brewery.
You can edit series data by clicking on "edit series data". To remove a series, click on "remove series".
To assign a beercoaster to a series just click on "edit beermat" and choose the series from the pulldown menu. Now just click on "send" to save your data.
How can I call up my collection?
After logging in on bierdeckelsammler.de you'll sea on the right side a box "my collection". It contains the amount of beermats from the data base of which you assigned your collection.
Over the link "my collection" you arrive on the overview of your collection. The structure is identical to the full beercoaster-data base with the difference that you only sea those coasters which you allocated to your collection.
How can I add or delete my coaster collection?
The adding or striking of coasters in your collection isn't very difficult. Just call up the brewery where you want to add or to delete some coasters; you write in the field "number" underneath the desired covers in each case the number of copies in your collection. To delete a coaster from your collection you empty simply the concerned "number"-field or you write down "0". You terminate your input with a click on "send".
When you add a new coaster (look above "How do I add a new beermat?") you can immediately allocate this coaster to your collection. Just put the checkmark on the site "add a beermat" to "add this beermat to my collection" and complete the field "number in my collection".
How can I call up the collection of other registered collectors?
To call up the collections of other registered collectors you change to the page "Administration -> collectors overview".
On a table you sea the list of all registered collectors. By clicking on the name you come to the respectively collector-site. In the column "beermats online" you will remark the number of the coasters of this collector. While clicking on the number you arrive immediately in the collection of this collector.
How can I contact other collectors?
On the collector-site of every collector you find a form for contact where you can send a message directly. As a sender automatically your saved E-mail address is mentioned. The E-mail addresses are not indicated so they can't go to "Spammers".
After clicking on "send" you receive a success message as well as the message text.
If you choose your own site this form for contact isn't mentioned because I suppose that you will not send a message to yourself.
How can I add a notice to the calendar?
To add a notice to the calendar you click on "new entry" and fill in the form. Obligation data are the meeting date and the country where the meeting take place. You end with clicking on "send"
How can I change a notice in the calendar?
Each date in the calendar can be changed or deleted in respectively the links "edit" and "delete".
When you click on "delete" first there will be a safety inquiry. After you confirm with OK the date will be deleted.
By clicking on "edit" you'll have a site where you can change the dates. You'll shut your input by clicking on "send".
What exactly is the beermats-DVD?
So that you also can sniff offline (without internetconnection) in the beercoaster-data base, I offer this data base also on DVD.
The DVD is constructed as the website, however it contains "only" the beeroaster data base, the resuming information such as the calendar or linklists are only reserved for the website. The dvd is also equipped with a searchfunction so you can look into the data base without an internet connection.
I can send you the DVD for 10 Euro plus postage (in Germany at the moment 1,45 Euro). This money is only to reduce the expenses of the site bierdeckelsammler.net. I do not have to object anything to a voluntary "donation" more than the expenses contribution.
Please note: actually the beermats-DVD is only available in german language!
